Neura Pod is a series covering topics related to Neuralink, Inc. Topics such as brain-machine interface and artificial intelligence will be explored.

Since Elon is so publicly facing with his other ventures, it seems like Neuralink kinda gets pushed under the rug, but as time passes, it’ll be fun to see how the company grows and what societal awareness they raise. I’m most excited about Neuralink’s future than any other company. The prospect of a remedy for Alzheimer’s and/ or decreased limb functionality is super inspiring.

Put yourself in the circumstances of someone who has decreased ability to walk, limited ability to grab objects in daily life, or has severe paralysis. It’s no guarantee Neuralink will develop a fully functional remedy, but…

On July 29, 2021, Neuralink announced they completed their Series C funding round of $205 million. In this article, we’ll be exploring what this possibly reveals about the company’s progress.

Series C funding rounds are focused on growing a company as quickly as possible after a business has reached a certain threshold of success. The threshold of success likely is referring to the N1 Link, the company’s first product that is designed to assist quadriplegics with computer use, which is currently in the process of being released into the market. …

Hey everyone! In this article, we’ll share some recent updates about Neuralink. If you’re new to this page, welcome to Neura Pod! We’re a channel about all things related to the Elon Musk company, Neuralink, and the field of brain-machine interfaces and neurotechnology. If you like this article, be sure to check out our YouTube channel and leave a clap or comment below.

Here’s the outline for the July 2021 Neuralink Update Article:

  • Neuralink for healthy humans — when? …

Neuralink monkey playing pong w/ just the mind.

Would you insert a chip in your brain to play video games at triple or quadruple speed?

Despite how cool or frightening that may sound, that’s not the only thing Neuralink is working on.

This Elon Musk company is not as well known as Tesla or SpaceX, but they sure will be if they keep making progress like this. If you aren’t familiar with Neuralink, the quick few things you need to know are:

1. The company will help merge humans with computers by implanting computer chips into our brains, and

2. The company could help almost anyone who’s paralyzed, or anyone with brain disorders, like depression, dementia, or Alzheimer’s Disease

Here’s my reaction to the video Neuralink released on their company YouTube page:

My Reaction to the Neuralink monkey demonstration

This isn’t the first time Neuralink’s demonstrated being able to safely implant a Neuralink into animals. …

Elon Musk’s Neuralink Update — April 2021
  • Monkey playing Mind Pong
  • Elon comments on neural net training
  • Uncovering the secrets of the brain
  • First human trials for wireless brain-computer interfaces

Woah. There’s a monkey playing a video game with it’s mind.

Elon Musk’s Company: ‘X’

Elon Musk thinks it’s a good idea to merge Neuralink, Tesla, SpaceX, and the Boring Company by creating an Elon Musk Conglomerate called ‘X.’

In this article, I’ll discuss how this idea came to be, write a little about Neuralink and investing, and also Elon’s vision for the future of being a multi-planetary species.

For simplicity’s sake, let’s imagine Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway or Alphabet, the parent company of Google. Elon Musk responded to a tweet from Dave Lee suggesting he create a holding company that includes these companies and future endeavors. …

Elon Musk’s Neuralink & SpaceX
  • Neuralink President, Max Hodak tweets
  • Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)
  • Neuralink’s hiring needs
  • Teaser for next Neuralink update event
  • Connections between Neuralink & SpaceX

Earlier this week, Max wrote on Twitter, “People don’t get just how close we are to true high bandwidth neural interfaces. From a world of atoms to a world of bits within — not long!” In responding to a follow-up question, Max said we may shift to a world of bits within a decade, but it “depends on how much we want it.”

Elon Musk’s Neuralink: Can you stream music to your brain directly?

I wanted to share thoughts about predictions I’ve heard related to Neuralink: these range from Neuralink giving us the ability to stream music directly to our brains to Neuralink developing a full cyborg robot-human.

The likelihood of the second prediction coming true depends on how you define a cyborg. If you’re thinking half-man, half-machine with robot arms or legs and therefore super-human strength, that seems pretty unlikely in my opinion. However, if you’re thinking Neuralink could enable us to have super-human brains, I think that’s pretty likely.

Neuralink is working on the tech that will support building super-human brains, but…

- Elon talking about pricing

- Cost of Neuralink implant vs other procedures

- How that pricing is possible

Elon Musk — Neuralink Progress Update. [Play from 56:59–58:00]

Elon discusses the future pricing of a Neuralink implant- high cost at the beginning, decline rapidly, an d then likely settle around a few thousand dollars (similar to the cost of LASIK).

Since Elon references the cost of LASIK eye surgery, I decided to LOOK into some pricing stats. For those who don’t know, LASIK is a surgery often performed with a robot and laser.

There’s lots of variation…

One of the primary leaders of the BrainGate team, Dr. Leigh Hochberg was interviewed about a month ago. During that conversation, he discussed some of the goals of their research and some info related to the trials they’re conducting. Dr. Hochberg also mentioned BrainGate is working alongside Neuralink. When asked about whether there are companies investing big dollars in this space vs academic research money, Dr. Hochberg indicated the Division of Clinical Research at the Massachusetts General Hospital has an agreement…
